The 2002 miracle of the long-forgotten Maybach name contest with Rolls-Royce and Bentley was a leading flop. Nonetheless, Daimler revived Maybach for an second time two years ago, albeit on a lesser quality, with a slightly lengthened version of the S600. That brand-new Maybach were to be a victory, so last year Daimler opened an second Maybach sedan car based on the S550. Now the brand is diversifying this ride with a derived of the S-class cabriolet named the Mercedes-Maybach S650.
The Mercedes-Maybach S650 cabriolet dethrones the Mercedes-AMG S65 cabriolet at the top of the S-class convertible extent, although the two are mechanically akin. The brand-new automobile is having energy by the same AMG-engineered 6.0-liter twin-turbo V-12, code named M275. Evaluated at 621 horsepower, the AMG V-12 is the apex attacker among Daimler engines, it will throw the open-topped Maybach to 60 mph in a 4.0 seconds.
Top speed is led at 155 mph, although some Maybach possessors undoubtedly will desire to have it electronically elevated to the AMG S65's bayed 186-mph maximum. Like the S65, the Maybach S650 cabriolet comes with rear-wheel ride and a seven-speed automatic transmission, we suspect that the nine-speed shell and the all-wheel-ride system currently in production in other Benzes wouldn't be able to resist the M275's 738-lb-ft attack. Putting the Maybach S650 cabriolet apart from its lesser relatives is a benevolent chromium care. The twin-blade opening and the debased front fascia come with high-gloss makeup and the Swarovski glass headlights, elective elsewhere in the roll, are regular here. The disc wheels which are added by 20 openings, interestingly, Mercedes has covered the lug nuts which are circumpolar on Maybach sedan cars with the same wheels with reproduced central-locking caps.
Three out color cares are accessible, white with blue top, blue with beige top and red with black top, each united with its own two-tone indoor. Maybach hypostases are many inside and out, there’s a 1 of 300 chromium spot on the center cupholder and the covering handicraft, a collection of waterfall and diamond-quilting structures are accurate to this version. Pricing hasn’t been released, although it’s convinced to come in north of the S65 cabriolet’s $250,525 beginning range. But not only does the S650 Maybach offer an additional maneuver of exclusivity only 75 of those 300 Maybach cabriolets are assigned for the U.S. marketplace, but Mercedes also throws in a four-piece set of color-matched case, a diamond-quilted automobile cover with the Maybach trademark, a maybach-trademark key ring and a document certificate signed by Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche himself.
