The Toyota Land Cruiser has always been more of a land lumberer than a land cruiser. Acknowledgments to its regular four-wheel-drive system, 8.9 inches of ground clearance and 27.6 inches of passing depth, the nearly three-ton SUV car is actually champion at passing the world’s powerful tract at a walking rate.
Toyota, though, is making compensations for the Land Cruiser’s dishonest name by showing off a Land Cruiser that’s truly able of cruising. Toyota uncovered the 220-mph, named theLand Speed Cruiser, at the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas.
Getting a large container to such high accelerates isn’t simple, so Toyota made an amount of modifications to aid the Land Speed Cruiser pass the two-century evaluation. Under the hood, a set of Garrett turbochargers have been met to the Land Cruiser’s 5.7-liter V-8 motor, proving in more more than 2000 horsepower, which is way through an exclusive sprinting transmission created by ATI. Aiding in the cause is a more aerodynamic body that’s been moved and met with an unshapely front splitter, a large breed baffle, a slippery breed wing and cameras instead of rearview mirrors. Given, the Land Speed Cruiser doesn’t have the off-road chops of its capital equivalent, however, when it comes times to actually cruise, the Land Speed Cruiser does so in spades.
