The manufacturer recalled 44 versions including its 1-series 116i and 118i cars and the 3-series 320i car to regenerate passenger-side airbags, all recalling cars were manufactuered between 2004 till 2012.

Imperfect Takata airbags have been thought to at least 14 deaths and 150 injuries intercontinental as the ammonium nitrate-based substance used in its inflators has an attitude to explode following lengthened vulnerability to baking, wet contexts, scattering metal shell at the car's inhabitants.
