Jetta 2011 was first specifically engineered for U.S. market, sixth generation of Jetta receives criticism because of lackluster dynamics and cheap interior. 2016 comes with new and powerful 1.4 liter turbocharged four cylinder to produce 150 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, also available 1.8 liter four cylinder turbocharged with 170 hp and 184 lb-ft torque, while 210 hp comes with 2 liter four cylinder turbocharged along with 207 lb-ft of torque.
2017 version is going to have a backup camera, for S trim level. No TDI diesel model available for Jetta. 1.4 liter turbo is offers impressive 40 mpg EPA rating on highway with five speed manual transmission. Sport model 1.8 liter turbo is not going to have manual transmission anymore, manual remains limited to 1.4T and GLI models.
Interior with new infotainment and pleasure feel, comes with more space at rear seat and far better trunk space. Exterior and interior design seems conservative, with no style. No Premium ambiance found as Volkswagen Golf, Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra and Mazda 3 provides sharper better look with richer looking cabin.
