2017 Porsche 718 Boxster S comes with turbocharged and intercooled four cylinder using direct fuel injection system pairing with six speed manual transmission, generates 350 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque. Top acceleration remains quiet satisfying. Boxster provides super pedal feel, effort along with impeccable braking. Consuming 144 feet to stop from 70 mph which is shorter over earlier Boxster S and five feet better than Jaguar F-type S. Electrically assisted steering provides enough for understeering making shorter cornering limit. Body roll motion remains well in control due to adaptive dampers and suspension calibrations. Convertible top operated via switch or hand is best consuming 10 seconds in opening and closing over at 43 mph. Cupholders available at dash, storage areas in glovebox, door pockets, center console, moderate amount of luggage space at both ends of trunk, though no slot to park smartphone.
2017 model got 52 pounds more heavier over 2013 version, because of larger brakes, sophisticated dampers. With six speed manual transmission EPA remains 20/26 mpg city/highway rating.
