Jaguar is trying to prove dynamic excellence keeping practicality in mind with more leg room in back seats, enough foot space beneath front seats, panoramic sunroof, ok enough headroom. Here we wish company to provide seats cushion with reduced firmness. F-Pace cargo capacity is quiet good.
Great turn response, steering control is sharp and steering effort is light, Dynamic mode provides more heft. Weight distribution is quiet even, all wheel drive system comes into play when torque is needed at front axle.
F-Pace body control is excellent, steering column structure is rigid, ride control is good. Jaguar opposes to use flat tires, making compact spare tire available. Due to limited slip differential and single brake applications at times we find stability control being faced.
F-Pace variant available in trim level as base, Premium, Prestige, R-Sport. All includes Dynamics package while Prestige and R-Sport is to have electronicall adaptive Bilstein shocks. Driver can set Dynamic mode preferences for engine, steering, suspension settings and transmission and ride gets tied down in Dynamic mode where Normal setting is to travel for any kind of surface.
F-Pace is to use P Zeros tires for U.S. only for some units of First Edition models, while rest will have all season rubber tires which is to dampen dynamic driving. There are issues with brakes, as response seems soft and unsatisfying, brake pedal is getting more closer to floor, even throttling experience remains jumpy at high rpm. 113.1 inch wheelbase provides space , making easy ground clearance.
F-Pace occupies 3.0 liter supercharged V-6 producing 340 hp and 380 hp, seems surprising company did not went for 2.0 liter turbocharged gasolene engine. Fuel economy ratings are not too good. Smooth shifts is provided by eight speed automatic transmission.
Shift paddles responses are prompt. Company plans to add other engine 2.0 liter four cylinder turbo diesel by this fall. 7.8 seconds to touch 60 mph is blistering.
F-Pace uses Incontrol Touch infotainment which have 10.2 inch center screen, 12.3 inch virtual guage cluster, 17 speaker Meridian stereo, using Intel quad core processor. 3G data connection , Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, to execute smartphone apps. Facility of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be made available later on.
